I've sorta wrote one..

Starts out Playing Emaj for 2 bars, C for 1 bar, D for 1. Repeat. Fairly simple

While this is going on, one of the girls in the band will be saying a prayer. SHE will be doing it because she makes prayer sound really inspiring, usually with a great crescendo and the end.

The bridge sounds a lot like Iron Maiden type stuff to mix it up...(what can I say.. I like what I like). Key changes to Emin
Argh, tabs would take too long to make for it..the rhythm is complex and the solo is quite intricate.

That's cool Kane. I like Maiden stuff too, I always thought they were the best 80's band. Gotta love that Maiden "gallop" rhythm.

Hi.. guys/gals.. I'm new here..

Thought I'd jump right in..

I've written about 2 dozen or so Christian songs.. Currently I play for a gospel blues band. three of my tunes are on our website if you'd care to listen.
LivingStones-a gospel blues band

We just finished our first CD. Of the 8 cuts, 6 are my originals. The three on the site are from our new CD - "Before I Met You, Jesus"..

Your comments are welcome.. And I hope I can contribute to this board..

I've written several Praise and Worship songs for church. One of our expansion plans is for a recording studio and I get to help design it. I can't wait.

I know this is an old thread but i'd like to share one of my songs.

He hung alone, on the cross;
knowing what He's doing,
nails in his hands, and his feet;
they stabbed him in the side,
two lonely miles, He walked;
cross upon his back,

and as He walks that road,
would you walk that road with Him?
and as He wore that load,
would you wear that load with Him?

There in the garden, he knelt down;
praying to the One,
Father if you, could let this;
cup pass from me,
but not my will Lord let yours;
let your will be done.
imagine if you could what it'd be like;
to lose your only son,

and as He walks that road,
would you walk that road with Him?
and as He wore that load,
would you wear that load with Him?

That's one of mine, some one may like it, some one may not. but that's the first time i've ever posted one of my songs for anyone to see. My girlfriend and my best friend are the only two people who's ever even heard my songs. So please don't be TOO mean. LOL.

The name of the song is Come. It's a song that I think the Lord says to the people He created

Come

When you’re feeling lonely, come
When you’re feeling phoney, come
When you’re hart is breaking, come
When your life feels hazy, come

When you’re joy is fading , come
When you’re life feels crazy, come
When you feel me knocking, come
When you see the cross just come

And I lead you home
And I lead you home my child
Over rivers trough the sea,
Over all your enemies,
Over everything you can’t see

When your hart no longer takes
That the sea you sail is deep
And al the hurt that swims around
Tries to get you on the ground

When you’re feeling lonely, come
When your yoke is heavy, come
When you feel me knocking, come
When you see the cross just come

And I lead you home
And I lead you home my child
Over rivers trough the sea,
Over all your enemies,
over everything you can’t see

When you’re feeling lonely, come
When your yoke is heavy, come
When you feel me knocking, come
When you see the cross just come

i'm not a native english speaker so there could be mistakes in the lyrics

King

They broke His body
They shed his blood
They made Him ache
The almighty God
They took His head
And they crowned it with thorns
They took His clothes
where they gambled for

Remember this when you crown yourself king again 3x

Nails in His
Feet and hands
People laughing
Greeting friends
Making fun with the man on the cross
Knowing He was here to save us

Remember this when you crown yourself king again 3x

He came with mercy
Power and love
He came to cure
Our wonderful God
A Sheppard is he to find the lost
To save a fool like me

Remember this when you crown yourself king again 3x

That's a cool idea....if anyone has stuff they've recorded we could start a thread (or forum) for media.....like have someone record you playing at church, or anywhere for that matter.

Ok, I'm here now. It's a good idea. I'll try and explain the best way to do it.

The board itself doesn't have a feature for posting up stuff other than pictures and the text in our posts. The only way to post them up would be to get the song hosted on another website and then put a link in a post. There are a couple of websites that let you post up your own songs. You'd just have to search for them. That would probably be the easiest way. If you want to get a special place to put the links, put a post about it in the suggestion box. AC will probably figure out the best place to put them.

I've been thinking for a while we should do an album project. Where we all submit a few songs that we've written and someone arranges them into an album. Or at least that we all work together to write a song.
