It's the same brand that made my acoustic guitar. I haven't had any problems with the company, so I would really worry there. It looks like a pretty nice bass to learn on. I'd go for it.
By the way, I know how you feel about getting the urge to give bass a go. I love playing bass, it's good fun. Hope you enjoy the bass! |

| I had a friend who offered to sell/give me his 5 String Fender Jazz Bass for $175....should I feel bad about this? |

| Well, it's another option. I'd check the guitar is in good condition and is working well. If it is, then it'd probably be good to start on. Your friend can help you out with any problems and probably isn't as likely to rip you off because he is your friend. I don't know what I five string Fender Jazz is worth though, so I suppose it would be wise to check that out first. |
