Couple of months ago, I spent an entire week searching the web for backing tracks..the result: three CD's compiled of backing tracks.. mostly blues - jazz and rock (albeit, not a lot of rock).. They were mp3's and I converted for CD's.. So, now I just drop in the cd and have something to practice with.. They are actually pretty high quality..

If you are interested, I could probably burn CD's and send them.. I'd just ask to be compensated for shipping and the cd.. if you are interested, email me..

Yep, the Rock Jamtrack from that site is the best backing track CD I own hands down.

What about the www.jamtrax.com

Does anyone of you know if those BT worth the price? Looks like they r all well done but very expensive, at least for me here in brazil..... ;-)

Do I dare strike a guess and say that backing trax is the background music that you can play to?

I have never heard that term before...

Yes Matdvd,

They re-record the music without the lead guitar so you can play and practice.

Some of them have the rhythm guitar on the left or right side alone so you can back that out of the mix too...

You can also purchase a Line 6 GuitarPort, and for i think 8.99 / month get probably all of the tracks you can handle...may be worth checking out...
