Hey Guys,

This is my first post here. I guess it does come down to either a Fender or a Marshall but completely. Even the modern modeling amps seem to have sound of there own somewhat. I use ADA. Remember those amps? They were big in the late 80s early 90s. I have an ADA MP-1 preamp as a backup and a ADA MP-1 Classic for my main preamp. The preamp runs stereo into a ART Multiverb effects unit for a slight delay-reverb effect combo. This runs into a BBE Sonic maximizer and into a ADA T100s Stereo Tube Power amp into a Behringer 4-12 cab with Jenson speakers. ADA was the forerunner to the modeling craze but with ADA you have to build the sound yourself. THe ADA preamps have programable effect send and returns which you can turn on or off for each patch you create. I have a Line6 POD Pro rackmount that I use for certain patches for lead solos for extra delay. I simply set the POD for Tube Preamp with the drive very low and add the effects so all I get is the effects. The POD Pro will soon be replaced with a Lexicon MPX1 unit. It's a pretty cool ring: 128 midi assessible channels each with adjustable settings for OD-1, OD-2, Bass, Mids, Treble, Presence, Master volume, effects send on or off, and chorus. You have 4 voices to choose from SS, Tube clean, Brown sound, and Tube dist. Plus theres another volume control on the front of the unit to control the overall volume. Exactly the control I need.

Barry
