I am having trouble getting my Line 6 fley III XL to cut through the mix at large venues. Does anyone know of modifications i can make to get better tone, like speaker changes, adding diff cabs, adding anything to the effects loop, and is it possible to ad a real tube preamp to one.

Try adding some mid-midhigh to your presets. Try changing the presets or hooking up a eq peddal in the loop...

Bring the amp to the store and try some different cabbs, for sure there are better made cabs than Line6....

I haven't seen real tubes in line6 amps, becouse they like to emulate the different sounds instead of using the real thing.

Yours,
