Hi everybody,

My name is Koen Derksen and I live in the Netherlands. I'm thinking of buying my first electric guitar. So I went to a store in Rotterdam and played several guitars. My choise was a Cort Z22, but I didn't buy it yet.

I think it would be a good guitar for a first guitar. I am not sure, but I think Corts are made by Samick, and they make a quality guitar body for the price. Normally the electronics leave a lot to be desired, but they can be changed later as you learn more and need more or you can trade up to something else as your tastes evolve. Good luck on your plunge into the world of electric guitar; you will find it very rewarding when you can make some real music! And welcome to the forum! Very Happy

As a brand, Cort is doing some nice things. Particularly in sub $1000 AUD acoustics. Cort also do a lot of low end guitars for some big brands, like Squier, Ibanez, Schecter, and G&L. If those companies are happy with their work, then maybe that says something about Cort's manufacture process.

The guitar you linked certainly looks like a fine starter guitar. If you are happy with the way the one you played sounds and feels, then that is often a sign that it will be a good guitar for you. If it doesn't have any problems, I say go with it.

Looks like a great guitar. Personally I don't know if I'd be able to handle the arm rest, but I haven't played it. If its comfortable, props to you! Cort puts out a pretty nice guitar, and if the price is good, go for it. Good find. Tell us how it works out for you. God bless.

How the neck feels while playing is #1 to me.
