Need a good $200-400 Amp

I need a new amp that has good distortion, the clean dosent have to be great. I dont care how big it is.
I am looking in the price range of $200-$400 preferably about $300, but I can spend more if there is a good deal.
I dont buy gear off the internet, I buy mainly from Musicians Friend because they have a warehouse next to my house!
Just wanted to ask you guys what the good brands were, what type I should get... etc.

I am probably going to go with the first link I put up. I heard it at my local Guitar Center and it is a very good amp compared to some of the others in that price range.

It comes with a free pedal and has 2 guitar hook-ins or whatever you call them... I am going to get this once I have enough. It sounds great for Metal, Blues and classical... and these are the three I mainly play, so im going to get it.

This amp will do anything and everything you want it to do, it's 60 watts through a single twelve, it has several different amp models built in from old classic amps to the most aggressive amps (it will give you all the distortion you'll ever want), several effects built in (delay, chourse, phaser, flanger, tremelo, reverb) all foot switchable, line out, extention speaker out, head phone out. It's very portable and the sound will blow your mind VERY POWERFULL! I use this amp at gigs consistantly. It has never let me down. I've gone through a lot of equipment in my 20+ years of playing. This Roland "Cube 60" may be the best gigging amp to come along in a long time. It has a steel grill covering the speaker, a closed back which helps the bottom end. It can take a beating. Highly recomended.

I have a CUBE 30 for my practice amp. I used to have the CUBE 60 but it was a little too big and loud for my bedroom, but I agree that for $345 it can't be beat. Roland makes the best sounding solid state amps IMO, you can't go wrong with a CUBE 60 and that sucker is LOUD for 60 watts. Loud enough for most drum situations even.

It is seriously alot better than the other amps you listed, and the built in effects sound downright good. No pedal needed. Even the reverb sounds good.
