Just curious to see some techniques used by others here and why.
I have been playing an almost equal amount of flatpicking and fingerstyle lately. When I am writing new songs starting with the bass it helps me to switch between the two for a fresh sound and perspective. When playing fast runs with fingers I tend to use 3 fingers instead of 2 and that really helps my endurance and accuracy. My only bass right now is a Yamaha BB3000s from the 80's I believe and it is a great instrument, pretty versatile. Cool

I mostly just use the fingerstyle. But I use a pick occasionally. And a little bit of slap here and there. But that's about it really. Though I don't play bass a lot.

which rhymes with 'me' -- I only use the usual two fingers, no flatpick, no slap -- and that keeps me busy as can be and all I can handle.

Cheers, Michael
