Man, am I whupped! Friday night, our worship band got to do a little concert for a packed house of close to 1300! What an incredible experience. We were the headliner for a weekend-long event callled Worship Northwest 2005! Wow! The whole place was full mostly with members of other worship teams from all over the western United States. The guys at the sound board were measuring our decible levels throughout the thing and we were usually around 97-100db, but they blew me away when they told me that during one acapella part they were reading 93db! 93 decibles of just voices! What an incredible sound! It was like a little taste of heaven.
All day Saturday was filled with more worship and teaching, interspersed with classes on drama, dance, various kinds of music and performance, leadership, and a lot more. Classrooms all over this church's campus were packed full of people just soaking in everything that was being taught. Plus they had a giant room full of exhibitors, including Bose, Peavey, Seagull Guitars, and a lot more. I heard that a total of 21 sound systems were set up in various places around the church. My system was one of them. I had to get it delivered and set up by 7 in the morning on Saturday. Then I helped out all day at a table where they were selling CD's (including ours), DVD's and books by the speakers who were present there. Finally, by 6pm it was over, and we got to tear all the stuff down and pack it all out of there.
Today, I'm just totally fried. My heart was filled, my spirit was filled, but my body is worn out! All in all, a fantastic event. My worship pastor is on the board of directors for this event, which is just now in its third year. The year it more than doubled in size of attendees. If that happens again next year, we'll have to rent a convention center or something. We had over 1,250 registered from about 264 different churches. |

That sounded like a great place to be! I wish I could hear of an event like that closer to home. I would love to attend a work shop like that!
God is soo good!

Hey Stan! Sounds like you had a good time.
I have one question, why were there exhibitors there that weren't church related?
Did ya'll play all the songs you do on your CD album I have? |
