Is Joan Osbourn a christian singer?

I posted this in another thread but this is a better thread for it I think.

I first heard the song, "What if God was one of us" song by Joan Osbourn on the TV show "Joan Of Arcadia". I then looked for and listened to the entire song and I like the song but I can't decide if it is a good Christian song or not. In the song she sings of God being alone in Heaven and the Pope being the only one to call him. I sort of get the feeling that the words are mocking God instead of seriously exploring her question of how God would manifest himself. I might be a little cynical so I would like some feedback.

You are correct Shardy, the song is a mockery of sorts. The Holy Spirit discerns an evil spirit and has done so through/with you. Well done. ALWAYS compare spiritual things against scripture, things of God will not contradict scripture.

There was some talk of Joan converting to Christianity due to convictions about the writing of the song in question. I wonder about the validity of this story... looks like a google search may come of this as my curiosity is now peaked! Cool
