i recently bought a marshal g10mk2 off of a freind. I trust him that it was in good condition but after a day i was playing and *POP* it made a pop noise and like a sparking. I quickly unpluged the amp from the wall and opened it up. I noticed that it must have been the fuse, it looked blown considering the inside of the fuse was char black. but that wasnt the only thing, theres a spot where like 4 whit wires and a black wire come off the main board and are attached and screed down to the metal case. theres a little black box at the end of the wires and i noticed it was broken in 2 pices. itn not that it may be 2 seperate peices but it looked broken. and the metal was chared around that part. Im not electronics technician or anything but i know thats not good....but if theres a way to fix that part or if theres a place where i can get it, that would be great. if you dont really know what i mean then sorry im not good at explaining these electronic things like that

Sounds like the mains transformer. Have a shop test the outputs on any shorts or problems before plugging it in again!

I've actually got that same model. It does sound like a fuse and some other stuff. But I'm no electrician either. I'd just take it in to be fixed. It's probably the best way to get it in working condition again.
