There was once a policeman in his night shift. The youth/group of the church he attends planned a big concert on the main square of the capitol of his country. Weeks oof preps and pracitice went by and there was the day to go out and be fishers of men.

The policeman, having worked all night, went to sleep, in the knowlidge that he had hired some exellent soundmen to do the job he normaly did. Building the stage, PA and mixing all the instruments and voices to one flood of sound, overwelming even the loudest tram (form of transportation, well known for Amsterdam )

The cop woke up at about midday to find 12 messages on his cellphone. What went wrong....

Arriving at the stage there was hno music, only sad faces. All the equipment had been fried, burnt out.... The city, beeing responseble for the electricity had made a big mistake, swapping a fase with the ground, thus giving us not 220 volts but 380 volts..... All the equipment, all the amps, all the eq´s all the fx gone up in smoke.... NO concert, No evangelism only sad faces.....

O well. This happend to me last saturday. We have about 40.000 euro damage and are going to claim it from the city....

WOW What a shock! The city found that the city is not responsible?! Some things are the same wherever you go I guess, nobody wants to take reponsibility.

There is a saying in the US "you can't fight city hall", but now I realize that the USA doesn't have exclusive rights to that one

Nate, when doing the Lord's work, we know we are in His will when the enemy comes against us to stop it. Sometimes it's when we feel no resistance we should be most concerned.

Man you are so straight on the target. our pastor spoke on that subject again a couple of weeks ago. Not feeling the enemydo his thing means you are not doing anything that will bother him. Thanx for sharing taht dude. It needed to be said.

...and remember that what the devil intends for evil, God will change it for good.

When my first guitar was stolen, I was completely heartbroken. Now, I have 2 better ones than before. Without a dime out of my empty pockets. Praise His name. And you can too, ahead of time!

In my prayers brother.
