Just a tidbit. I use the Roland GP100 guitar processor and it works GREAT for electric guitar. I'm pretty sure there's a newer model out now.

The tone doesn't sound processed. When you layer it with real amp tracks you'd never know for most tracks.

I have seen the GP arround but never got to mess with it. I'll try it when I get my hands on it. I use a Yamaha SPX for FX when recording. Great sounds. I am now focused on the G-force or G-major by TC-electronics. No experiance yet but the seem great.
