Don't know if anyone's still checking back, but I highly recommend Larry Howard. I've seen him live a couple of times. Very tasteful, and a great message.
Rex Carrol has some blues albums out too. He's a monster player. Check out "The Sessions". |

I like most types of Blues.
Well, I've only just joined this, and didn't come here to advertise, so this isn't spam, but if you like blues, you can check out my band's CD. there are some MP3s from it on our web site http://www.maddyleigh.co.uk
People I'd recomend are Walter Trout (he's is a christian), Craig Erricson, Glenn Kiaser's Spontanious Combustion CD, Darrell Mansfield, particularly the CD 'Mansfield & Co'. And some Larry Howard.
Anyway, I'm new, I'm gonna stick around (not just advertise and leave), and look forward to some cool discussions

MARC!!! I downloaded the full length version of "Nickles and Dimes" and it KICKS BUTT man! GREAT job!
You know what, as a moderator of this site I really don't have a problem with people plugging their music so long as it's Christ centered and especially if they stick around and get to know us. I cannot say what a blessing it is to tell others of great Chrisitan music. It may be cliche but it's true: "Why should the devil have all the good music?" Well he doesn't, God owns all but the enemy sure gets his hands into alot of what God means for good and music is a big part of his dirty work.
I look forwared to getting to know you better, drop in often! |

| I just recently got to see a B.B King concert. He is the absolute best Blues live show. He isn't under the christian genere...but I havn't found anything offensive. His CDs don't live up to a live concert. If he comes too a town near you...get tickets very early. |

My Gosh. I have been burning Raging Grace - Strand of 3 Chords heavily over the last week. These guys are the best Christian Blues I have heard.
They have a rock edge to them. He gets that PRS grinding. Do not let these guys pass you by. Great insightful lyrics too.

I know this is a old thread but I thought I start it up again.
If you want to go back to the birth of the blues, You need Blind Willie Johnson, Sister Rosetta Thourpe and I think his name is Sonhouse... Blind Willie and Sister Rosetta are most assuredly Christian and Sonhouse was a Preachers Kid that did some Christian Songs not sure about him, I hope he made it. |
