Does anyone listen to Blues shows on the radio?
WWOZ 90.7 FM in New Orleans has a Blues show on Friday night. There is a big variety on this show. They played Albert Collins and Robert Johnson back to back.
They have an acoustic Blues show on Tuesday afternoon, for about 2 hrs. (ex. Tampa Red, Mississippi John Hurt)

Click for live broadcast page: http://www.broadcast.com/radio/jazz/wwoz/

WWOZ plays Jazz most of the time.

I get a bunch of music channels with my cable, I listen to the blues channel sometimes. Same thing, lots of different blues cats back to back. I do get a bit tired of it sometimes though... They do have a hair-metal channel Matt, lots of Poison and Ratt.

KLON in Long Beach plays blues quite a bit along with serious jazz.

Matt, I admit I liked doing 100+ mph on the autobahn in Germany too! Didn't like still having to watch my rear view mirror at that speed to get out of the way of the Porsches and big Mercedes, though.

I need to listen to more blues, because I sure enjoy making some of those sounds with the guitar. Improvising to a 12bar blues jamtrack is an absolute blast for me.

Wow AC!

I probably wouldn't leave the house!

Even though the lyrics to those songs are usually lame, I just love that era of music. It just seems to put a smile on my face and heaven forbid I am driving...makes ya wanna drive 40 mph faster...Sammy was right! I used to love it when I was in Germany and had a tape in, 100 mph was creaping!

Maybe I'll pray for the whole lot of those hair band unemployeds!

That reminds me of this true story.

I was traveling along about, oh, 100-120 or so, and this VW Golf comes flying up behind me, and as they passed, it was 4 Nuns crammed in this little car, head coverings flowing in the wind all over the place. Down right hilarious!

All's I could do was shake my head and laugh for years to come!

Glad to be of service. And really glad to finally get the link right! (How many guitarists does it take to UBB code a URL...?)

Buckwheat:
URL (Uniform Resource Library) is an address you visit on the web. i.e., www.whatever.com...
UBB (Ultimate Bulletin Board) is what you're talking on here.

Using the UBB code is how you can create clickable links w/in a message.

Check out the code here. It's pretty handy stuff. But I messed up the code a couple times, hence the need to edit twice!
