Oh, I don't remember the name of the band. They weren't famous but they were great!

Hey, I think my brother-in-law visited that church. Does the preacher play the drums?

My introduction to Christian Rock was by a band from our local Bible College. They were called "Theopholis." That was in the seventies and they pushed the envelope back then. They would be pretty tame by today's standards. Another early listen-to was Chuck Girrad. He was big back then. Anyone remember him? I guess I am dating myself. Anyone else here 40ish?

Hi Retro, and welcome to the board! I am 40 but I wasn't into Christian music at all in the 70's (or the 80's for that matter). I remember hearing about a band called Stryper in the 80's, and Petra has been around forever.

You and Lance(AC) are old guys...hehehe.

Me? Almost 34 and the mentality of an 80's teenager. Parts of me just doesn't want to grow up and get all "mature".

Love seeing new faces and all the experience with it!

My wife and I (and half of Santa Cruz) went out to a Sonic Flood concert tonight and Building 429 opened.
Actually a band from Arizona called Hungry got back together and opened here with their old singer, a gal from our church. Then Building 429, then Sonic Flood.
Also World Vision is along too promoting child sponsoring.

Good concert. Jason Ingrim (of Santa Cruz) has been singing lead lately while the lead singer recuperates in Nashville, from Crohn's Disease surgery.
I've caught Jason's act before, so Building 429 was the show stealer for me. Their current hit "Glory Defined" climbed the charts very fast. It's at NUmber 4 now.
Great voice. They're from No. Carolina.
