Anyone buy the last SONIC flood album. How about no. 9..... Nice work there. Kind of U2.

I have now dominated this maintopic with 50 % of all topics. Whats up duds..... dont you listen to any music ?? I would love to read about the music you listend to over the years.

I started out with Don Fransisco... My mom loved the songs. I was in to 'the music machine' Al these kind of kids songs. Keeth Green (Melody is my doughters name ) Lets see if I come up with any other impressions of the past.

I was in to John Gibson for some time. He had this song with a 9 minute guitarsolo (soundend like the Jeff Healey band 'while my guitar gently.....)

Ill come back with some more if youre up to it....

nate.

BTW anyone know the Music machine im talking about (put something in and a song comes out)
I would like to order the CD but I cant find it anywere ?!

Keith Green's music really set my Christian life on fire. I was just blown away by all of the raw honesty in his music....still am. From there, I went PETRAfied. Have seen them in concert too many times to count. Now, I like Sonic Flood, Third Day (especially "Offerings" CD) and Pete Orta, who was a recent guitar player for Petra, gone solo.

YES guys, I have seen sonic flood live! Great band and I have 2 or 3 of their CD's. My favorite Christian CD of all time, might be 3rd day "Offerings" or Petra Praise 2. I have never seen Petra but I have been a fan of theirs for many years. They are kind of the Aerosmith of Christian bands as far as longevity goes.

Best Christian band I ever saw(live) was a blues band in a Dallas Biker Church my mom made me go to. I loved it, that was before I started playing guitar and I remember during the service I was dreaming of playing guitar like the guy on stage was. I guess God wants me too.

Oh, I don't remember the name of the band. They weren't famous but they were great!

Big tent revival..... 2 sets of jonses blew me away. Petra praise is so cool. They have there roots deep in the gospel. How about Tommy Walker. He just loves to sing about seeing the lord and giving him al the praie. He can also play guitar so cool.

We dont get a lot of gospelbands out of the US in Holland. They are kind a prici to fly over. I was thinking of flying DC talk over or Jars of Clay....

Keeth Green made an impact on my life to. I think i have the most listening hours of his CD's in my life time. Hard to cath up with that. Create in me a clean heart is on of the songs I have to repeat to myself al the time. (Why do we mess up all the time....)

Hey Thom!

Excellent to meet ya!

Pull up a chair and just start typing like you have been here for years.

We have a great group of guys, and a gal or two at times, and just have been enjoying spending time together talking about our love of the Lord, and our love for guitars. If you love either one, let's hear about it!

Take care!

Matt

Hi guys,

Great to here that Sonic Flood is coming to play near you soon. I saw them play at a Flevo (a Dutch christian music festival) a couple of years ago. It was great! Not only Sonic flood, but also the OC supertones and Burlap to Cashmere were there. Although I think that Sonic Flood has a deeper message in there songs, I have to say that I also like the tunes that the other two groups bring.
