I enjoy just playing (strumming) through that Song book I mentioned elsewhere. It's full of lots of great praise songs as well as lots of folk songs and some easier classic rock (over 1,000 songs total). It's published by an outfit called Songs and Creations in San Anselmo, CA 800-227-2188. Best $16 I've spent! Highly recommended!

Lance, it's just called "Songs" compiled by Yohann Anderson. My brother introduced me to it a few months ago. He got an earlier version 20 years ago at a Young Life Christian camp (he's been playing guitar a lot longer than I have) and I was so impressed with it when I saw it that I went searching to see if it was still in print. Found it on Amazon.com and ordered one. When I got it, I called the 800 number in the book to order a few more for friends and Yohann himself answered the phone. Great guy. He has some products that promote techniques for leading worship and getting max participation. This songbook is the only one he sells - in various sizes & bindings (I like the large print for my older eyes ,w/ spiral binding so it lays flat). It's 200+ pages of multiple songs per page - lyrics and chords. It's just been updated with new songs. Call 800-227-2188 to order or for info. You'll love it. Get a second copy for your daughter to have the lyrics so she can sing with you. I did.

Check out the reviews on Amazon.com Search on books and Yohann Anderson. Everyone loves it.
I'd recommend ordering direct, though - not through Amazon.com.

| Depends on if I am leading worship or a sideman. If I am leading worship, then: "Oh, Our Lord and King," "He is Exalted," or "I Want to Praise You Lord". The last one in the list being one of my own. If I am a sideman playing lead, then: "It's my Joy" or any of a number of old hymns that are jazzed up where I can play some Country/Swing blues licks. Some of those old hymns can really be made to rock. |

Thats a good song. Jars of Clay uses some alternate guitar tunings that make is difficult to get the same sound without altering your guitar. Some of of these other guys here might know how they tune, I did it once but I like to leave my guitar tuned EADGBE |

I think I have it down... I play it pretty close with EADGBE.
I was more interested in how did you like the way the song sounded when you played it, and did you do it as a group, or just perform it? |

| Probably "Wealth Won't Save Your Soul". Written by Hank Williams. Got no idea how the rhythm of the song goes. So I just make it up. Generally comes out right. Real easy to fingerpick and strum. Just full of G's C's and D's and D7th's. Real easy song as I do it. |
