Thanks for asking. She has done extremely well in training and will graduate from Officer's Training School and be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force on May 24th. Her younger brother, Peter, a Lance Corporal in the Marines, will be there from Camp Lejeune, N.C. to be the first enlisted person to salute her (and get a silver dollar from her - in accordance with military custom). We're all looking forward to driving down to Montgomery Alabama for the occasion.
~T~, I'll wave as we pass through Memphis. Thanks again for asking.

i was thinkin' it was around the time frame now for her to be about done with that training...thats really great..what a nice touch to be doing the 1st salute thing with her brother-i'll bet that will mean alot to the whole family as well.--how did they swing it to get him there for that ??
-if ya can swing it, i'm sure we all would love to see some pics of the ceremony, if its not an intrusion.

Thanks guys. We'll try to get some pics. No digital camera yet, but we'll do the 1 hr photo thing and scan a couple for you.
~T~, Peter just talked his platoon leader into a 4 day pass and I got him a plane ticket to Birmingham (better flights than Montgomery). He likes the Marine Corps a lot and they seem to like him, too. He's doing well. His battalion heads to the middle east in July. I'll ask for prayer when we know more.
My daughter was hoping for Europe or Japan or at least East or West Coast for her first USAF assignment (something different than Colorado / Mid-West). Guess where they've assigned her? Altus AFB, Oklahoma! She was disappointed, but knows that God is in control and must have a reason for her to be assigned there.
Thanks again for asking. More to follow.....
