| ~T~, I agree with you. The riffinteractive CD's are a good deal and excellent learning tools. I have about 8 of them. Some are still beyond my skill level, but I've learned a lot from them. |

Matt,
I'm self taught. I started playing when I was about 10 and I'm 42 now. I'm pretty good. Not great, but pretty good. I will never reach my full poetential as a musician and be a really good guitar player because I let pride get in the way and insisted on being self taught. After all, Eric Clapton was self taught, right? One small problem - I'm not Eric Clapton.
My advice is to seek out a really good teacher. It will be the quickest and best way to get you where you want to be as a guitar player. Looking back, I wish that is what I had done. Please keep in mind that not everyone who has been gifted with the ability to play has been gifted with the ability to teach. Just my .02 johnnymac |
