|
|
Saturday night my wife and I went to a small local place just down the road from us for pizza. We have been invited to stop in several times, and it just worked out this Saturday was a free time for us. Our youngest son that still lives at home was out on a date and I had my message for Sunday morning as ready as it was going to get…
Several people get together there just about every Saturday night to play music together, I know some of them. We called ahead and our food was ready when we got there, they even had a table open for us. When Ronnie, the owner brought our food, he also brought a guitar for me to play alone. They set us up with a three ring binder of music and we where off to the races. It was a great time, someone would call out the page number or song title and we would all turn there and take off!
They love to have beginners join in, every song they do is in G!
All of the songs where old country, folk or Gospel songs.
My wife also had a ball, I’m sure we will be back.
Best part, I invited them all to Church the next morning, two of the couples came! Both had been before but not in a while! So we found a new place to jam and maybe a new outreach!
(The pizza was pretty good to.) |

Praise the Lord! Somehow getting people to God often starts in a place where God is not really apparent....I'm still pushing myself to reach out people in a casual mood and in public places. Encouraging testimony, God be the Glory!
Nate, you're born in holland? or did you live in USA before? |
