sometimes when i play guitar i'll play like a A major pentonic and use the notes of that scale and create some kind of chord. how do i find out what type of chord that is. whether or not it's in A. Is it possible to use any type of scale and use the notes of that scale and create some kind of chord. Cool

The chord is a harmonic resonance that duplicates a note. They are not created. they already exist. You have just formed a chord that you did not know existed and did not know th label for.

f you get to a good chord chart any "chord" that you form will already be on that chart.

Using the chords in proper secquence is a matter of knowing or learning proper chord progression within a key
