Hey all - just wanted to tell you about a great tube (valve) amp. I picked up a Laney all tube 30w combo loosely based on an AC30. It's all class A circuitry and is as sweet as a bun. I play in a couple of different bands and the Laney is easily enough for most gigs. The only time I've had to pick something bigger was for an outdoors gig. Do yourself a favour and check one out - the price is great too! Chuck.

Anything that sounds like a AC30 is a good deal. I only have a bit of trouble with the top-end bit of Laney. It used to bee a bit harsh on the ears...

Will go and have a look tho.

Hey Nate; was that with all Laney amps or the little 30w I was describing? I hadn't noticed any harshness, but that doesn't mean it's not there. I usually run it with my Tele or Strat and a yellow Boss Super Overdrive (and a Fender tuner). It's got a pretty sweet tone. Try one out and let me know what you think. Regards, Chuck.
