I was asked if I would accompany a female singer on a young country cover of The Great Adventure at the State Fair for the rodeo cowboys and their families' church service. One to remember...

I opened the service with a country swing version of Power in the Blood. Later we did Friend in High Places; a rewrite of the garth brooks song, and a young country cover of The Great Adventure as specials. TGA cover we did is vocally pretty complex and I had fun throwing in some steel guitar fills. My wife doesn't care much for CW but said the music went well so they came off OK.

Pastor Coy Huffman's (of Pro Rodeo Ministies/Cowboy Church International) message was "A Lifestyle of Love", 1 John 4:7-11 and was a continuance of a series he's been doing on the PCRA tour. He called on some of the cowboys to give their testimony to help illustrate how the Light of Christ removes us from darkness, and should eliminate the fear of things that go bump in the night. Great message.

Cool! Cool Looks like the weather may have been questionable. That's an awful lot of mud I see that doesn't look man made! Wink

Bro Brian, at least you picked the right guitar. I couldn't see the Zion going over too well at that gig.

That Brian is just too cool. Even in my wildest dreams I don't see something like this happening. I just want to come and pal around with you a while. Cool
