Hi All, Very Happy I hope I'm in the right place for this question, if not sorry. Crying or Very sad

Anyways, I'm trying to learn these open string pull-offs (please imagine arches over the top): 2 0 and 3 0 and 3 2 0.

Now, to do the first one (2 0) do I fret the string at the second fret and pluck the string with a pick and pull-off and let the open string ring out on its own? or do I pluck with a pick the open string also after I pull-off?

Thanks for the help, and Love You,
PeaceMaker

I hit the fretted note with the pick (or fingers) and by pulling off i make the open string sound. Two notes just by striking the string once. But i'm lazy. Be God's-scott

By definition, the "pull-off" itself triggers the second note, and you don't pick it.

Oh, I couldn't see the props on it. Embarassed With motors like that it might be able to keep up with a jet you think?... Did you build that plane?

Laughing No, I didn't build it. It's a Lockheed L1049G Constellation; the last and the greatest of the propellor driven airliners. Of the 856 that were built and flown all over the world by many airlines and the military until the jets forced them out; this one belongs to a museum I am a member of, and is one of only 2 left legally certified to fly in the world. They were retired from carrying passengers in 1968. The other one is in Australia. It won't keep up with a jet airliner, it's cruising speed was 325 MPH, jetliners today only do 500 MPH to save fuel, but are capable of cruising at 600 MPH easily. Check it out at: www.airlinehistorymuseum.com

Az. Plane, that's pretty cool... The reason I asked if you built it is because I had a uncle who rebuilt a relic WACO Byplane after he built a hanger for it... It was so nice, I was at the strip for it's maiden voyage when it was certified safe or whatever that do... It was pretty exciting.

That's cool, several of our members have Wacos. This one is a bit bigger, it has a 126 1/2 ft. wingspan and is 116 ft. long, when fully fueled and loaded has a max T/O weight of 145,000 pounds.

Yep, that's a little bit bigger than a WACO.

You ever try any of those flight sim games?... They probibly have one with a Connie in it... I used to play Microsoft Combat Sim 2 before I picked up a Guitar... It's pretty realistic; I like to fly the Corsair the best... You ought to give it a go, if Youv'e got a pretty good PC.

There are a few out there with the Connie in it, and one has our plane. I don't play with them, then I'd want to fly, and if I learned to fly, I couldn't afford my music habit............. Confused
