| I've only just began to learn lead and don't really plan on playing bass but I was curious, how difficult is it compared with a 6-stringer? |

Any bassist will tell you otherwise, but comparing a 4-string bass to a guitar.....the bass is really, really easy, assuming you're just playing rhythym.
Naturally, it all depends on what style you play, some techniques are a little different ("Slapping" for instance), but I found bass to be pretty easy to pick up, and it's alot easier to hit one note on a single string, than to transition smoothly from chord to chord on a guitar (for a novice anyways). |

Its gets harder when you try to play licks and so on. Just playing ground notes is pretty easy but you can make it as hard as you want. try keeping up withVictor Wooten or the guy from Dream Theater Now way any one can play that fast |

What i like about bass is locking down the almighty groove with the drummer and then realizing the guitar player is just fluff! |
