What guitar do you play? I play a Larrivee D-09 mostly. I have a Guild d4 that is my beater. I play my D-09 in the worship band and when I am solo. I play my Guild at youth retreats and such.

Hi Dane, God Bless You and Welcome to the Board! I live up in Washington State , about 100 miles from John Standifer.
I have a couple of acoustic guitars... a '93 Taylor Dan Crary Signature Model dreadnaught . It sports a venetian cutaway and has a TrueTone M7 3 way (bridgeplate transducer, hi & lo freq mics, on board mixer) no-cut pickup system installed. A REAL nice flatop with GREAT power and sustain; rather bright for Rosewood back/sides but good balance and LOTS of harmonics. It gets used every week for Worship Services, and regularly every couple of weeks in (Christian) Bluegrass jam sessions, where it is the PERFECT instrument.
I also have a ~'50 Regal 16-1/4" acoustic archtop with solid carved spruce top, carved maple back & sides. It belonged to my Mom, and while it's beat from the abuse my brothers and I gave it, it sounds real good. It's my main practice guitar and gets used occasionally in a jazz big band. |

G'day Dane
I play a Cole Clark Fat Lady 1AC. I could go into a very large rant about my guitar and it's features, but I'll save you the trouble. It's basically a really nice and raw sounding steel string made in Australia. Of all the people who have played it, none have been able to put a fault to it. It's pretty much my baby and I use it as my main gigging axe. Both at church and school. |

I mostly play a Seagull M6 or Seagull S6 CW with an LR Baggs pickup.
I sometimes play an Ovation Celebrity and often play a Seagull S6 Cedar around the house.
The Ovation sees heavy service at our "teen camp" for a week each summer. The Seagull with a pickup gets used for P&W in a large setting and the M6 is for P&W with our teen group or a smaller setting.
Wecome to the board. |

Hello!
Well, the Earthfire is here.
It's "B" stock, (it seems), as there is a little glue mark at the neck joint, and that's all!
It seems to be quite good for a £100 guitar, though the seller claims it should be £199.
Not my ideal choice, but beggars cant be choosers, and I'm not complaining. |

Yes, the biggest issue is the neck depth. Much more chunky and "classical" than I'm used to.
It has a rather mellow sound, not harsh at all. Very rounded sounding if you know what I mean. |

Well, unfortunately, I didnt get on with the neck of the Earthfire.
Luckily, the seller was brilliant, (Purple Turtle Music), and took it back.
So, I bought an ex demo Tanglewood TWO SJ. I've had it a few weeks now, and I must say that I really like it a lot!! |
