Did Judas sin by betraying Jesus or does it not count as a sin because he was helping carry out God's plan?

Just ask! Post a note on a bulliten board and leave your e-mail for people to get in contact. Smile

Yes Judas sinned, by all means he sinned. God has always used sinners to carry out His plans but that doesn't make the sin ok. Just ask Solomon. Wink

Back when I was at a Christian school, I was looking after the prayer meeting that some guys started a few years ago (I don't like to say leading the prayer meeting, that's God's job). Best piece of advice I can give about running a prayer meeting is don't hold it inside. Hold the meeting outdoors. Find a quiet spot away from people and pray there. If you hold it inside, you'll get non-Christians coming just to get out of the cold or heat, not to pray. And trust me, they'll get in your way.

It's good to see you want to start a prayer meeting. But they usually don't allow it at a public high school. I'm now at one. I heard that there was a prayer meeting being run at my high school, but the school shut it down. I was disappointed by that. Anyway, good luck with the meeting and with finding other Christians.

I found the best way to tell if someone was a Christian or not was just to listen to how they talk. Very good indication. I also found out that a few people at my school were Christian because I made it well known that I'm a Christian. Other people also introduced themselves as Christians when they found I was. But the best way to see if someone is a Christian is to ask who they think Jesus is. If they say He is the son of God and the person lives a pretty good life (should pass the speech test above), they are probably good Christians.

My oldest son is in a group called "Fellowship of Christian Athlets" at his high school. It took the group several years before the school would even allow their picture in the year book. They meet once a week, before school starts. They have at least one teacher that sponcers them, allows them to use his room for meetings, that kind of thing. I have spoken to the group before, they have to meet an hour before school starts, some of the teachers give kids rides in. I was really excited by how many kids came that early in the morning. They now have prayer around the flag, and other special days of prayer. Just this year, they are allowed to use the school's speaker system to announce events and times for meetings.
I would agree to find other Christians in school, make sure you are known as one.
Just remember that if it is started and ran by a student, you can pray where you want as long as it does not interfear with school function. You could start meeting in the school library 15 minutes before class starts and pary with a couple of friends, and it could grow from there. The school can not make you pray and you can't make the school tell people what to pray or how to pray, that is the real meaning of seperation of Church and State. Along the same line they can not keep you from prayer. It would be steping on your rights. Just don't interupt class or make people late for class.
